Membership Information

Membership is open to men and women aged 18 or older with proven descent from a person who helped in the last stage of life between the years 1607 and 1860. Examples of such ancestors may include persons who worked as gravediggers, sextons at churches with graveyards, coroners, undertakers, hearse drivers, executioners, served on Coroner’s Juries. Should the ancestor have carved a gravestone, made a coffin, or made the shroud for an at sea burial, that ancestor is acceptable, however, proof must be submitted that the product was actually made by the ancestor. Meetings are held in odd numbered years in Washington, DC.
